{"id":561,"date":"2020-10-19T15:44:27","date_gmt":"2020-10-19T15:44:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.beyond-borders-ev.de\/?p=561"},"modified":"2026-05-20T10:55:54","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T08:55:54","slug":"post-lucky-lindys-hop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beyond-borders-ev.de\/de\/2020\/10\/19\/post-lucky-lindys-hop\/","title":{"rendered":"Lucky Lindy's Hop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In cooperation with <a href=\"http:\/\/swing-tanz-hamburg.de\/\">SWING TIME<\/a>, a school for Vintage Jazz dances in Hamburg, Beyond Borders facilitated a dance theatre production, which has been professionally filmed in September 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dance play <em>Lucky Lindy\u2019s Hop <\/em>is inspired by the Afro-American dance styles Lindy Hop, Blues and Charleston. Four young choreographers worked with thirty amateur dancers from the Hamburg swing dance scene on the dance play <em>Lucky Lindy\u2019s Hop<\/em> about Charles Lindbergh&#8217;s crossing of the Atlantic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a legend, Charles Lindbergh and\nhis flight from New York to Paris within 33 1\u20442 hours are the eponymous for the\nAfro-American couple dance Lindy Hop, which to this day brings together a wide\nvariety of people in tolerance and joy. Lindbergh himself is one of the most\ncontroversial personalities. His daring flight delighted millions, while his\nright-wing populist views deserve no glory. <em>Lucky Lindy\u2019s Hop<\/em> deals with\nthe dreams and fears of an inexperienced narcissistic personality. While\neveryone watched his flight, Lindbergh processed his dangerous undertaking in\nsolitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next to the production\u2019s management, Beyond Borders had a research role, to offer viewers reliable background information about Charles Lindbergh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-light-gray-color has-very-dark-gray-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\"> Despite all the circumstances, we are now looking forward to celebrating the home cinema premiere of LUCKY LINDY\u2019s HOP! <br>Dates:  02\/21\/2020, 03\/13\/2020 and 03\/19\/2020 at 8:00 p.m. each time <br><a href=\"https:\/\/swing-tanz-hamburg.de\/lucky-lindys-hop-premiere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Get your tickets here!
